18th February - Weeeeell, the BOTB news is on the front
page...but we have more. Oh yes, we're full of it, we are. Dead By Sunrise would like to officially welcome new bassist, Tom
Giles. Yeah, JB has left the band due to musical differences and image issues etc. etc. Well, we got a few practices
coming up, I think and stuff...so yeah. And thanks to Jordan Leonard, of Spotlight Fury, for stepping up and helping Tom settle
in. More news later on, and updated gallery etc. etc.
31st January - Well, James has been getting us contacts
in the music industry, and we have some hopes about a record label. Link to the studios:
Gig at Queensbridge next week...
And I'm in discussions 'bout the Roadhouse...
It's all good!
21st December - We closed the showcase today, in front
of about 220 people, which was very cool. We did 'Trying to Turn Me' and 'Soul' and they seemed to be well-liked. Which was
good. It was a bit scary, but then we had lots of fun, what with James talking to the lil' 11-yr-olds, saying 'My guitar is
screwed. Screwed! Argh, what do I do?' and me and JB hissing 'Just fucking play!' Yeah, that was fun. Still, James did very
well, what with his magic singing, and magic guitaring. We all did well, and it was cool, and as soon as we've developed a
longer set, we're getting some proper outside gigs, as we have managerish interests from people. I can't be bothered to write
anymore.
5th December - I think it's the 5th...Yeah. (Just checked
on my advent calendar). We had a good practice, really good. New song rocks, erm...I'll get lyrics up. We're doing 2 songs
at the showcase, both our own, and latest. Also, me and Jamesie (or Jamesie et moi) are doing some Pink Floyd shiz at the
concert, which is tres cool. I'll get lyrics up. Bye.
29th November - Yesterday we had a wicked-sick practice,
and got 'Trying to Turn Me' perfected. Our walk home was also filled with fun-filled snow, which added to the excitement.
Yeah. Also, I (Zoe) have been working on some Nirvana-tastic riffs (well...chords) for the showcase, whereas James has been
getting down with the 'original-styley' riffs. Yeah. So, either way, we're not doing much skiving. Uh, had our first proper
review sorted...it's good. And...the YPAA thing, oh yeah. Well, we've got a slot at our school's up-and-coming showcase, and
we're having a special fly-on-the-wall documentary made, complete with show footage, and an interview. W to the I to the C
to the K to the E to the D...I should stop reading so many NBA emails. Anyway, yeah, a 'credit' to Mr Joe Fitzgerald for that,
we love you. Yeah. I got coursework to do, so bye.
24th November - Well, today we had an excellent practice,
and I think we have completed (well, pretty much) our new song, that James wrote, called 'Trying To Turn Me'. It sounds so
good, and it makes me 'dance' whilst playing. Yeah, anyway...I'll get the lyrics on the lyrics page. Once that's perfect,
the next thing on our agenda is perfecting a covered song, for the ShowCase, yeah. But I can't remember if we're keeping it
on the down-low, so I won't specify it now.
Stay tuned!

18th November - Ah...I
wrote a new song yesterday. I'll include some of the verses, can't be arsed with the whole thing. It's like, 2 pages long,
but I'm going to go over it with the guys and together we'll turn it into something much better! Also, trying to sort the
set list thing for the showcase we're playing soon. I think we'll be playing our new song and also maybe Heart-Shaped Box,
as I really wanna do that. Anyway...lyrics...
So close your eyes, look away
Hide from this vision
Of lost causes and indecision
As you're too innocent, and clean
I'm fucked, just too damn mean
Cause I can't feel, you know
I don't hurt, it's just for show
This pain this pain this pain
There's also another verse, that goes:
In all this raw hate and energy
I'm pretty sure I've become an effigy
Oh yeah...we is doing gooood. Yeah. Bye.
17th November - Really good practice today, and we got
working on some new material, and I am very much digging the rhythm riff...not just because I'm the rhythm guitarist, either.
Me and James are doing our little lyric thing, where he writes some, and I write some and we then combine them, or pick the
best, or whatever. Anyway...real news...Gallery! Yes, we have a gallery! Ch-ch-check it out!
15th November - Spent the afternoon at Recoil's practice.
What a wicked band. Anyway, because we have no real news at the moment, I think I should just say why grunge rocks so much...because
if you're grunge, you care about nothing! And people's opinions don't mean anything to you! It's great. Everyone should join
our grunge army. I'm trying to write a song about it, but...I keep getting distracted by pretty logos! Erm...I think it'll
be called 'I'm Not Listening', or something. Stay tuned for more!
11th November - Well. I have realised, my entry previous
to this one was wrong. It was the 10th I posted that, not the 9th. Well. Today we skipped practice as JB was still off, so
it was pretty pointless persisting, as none of us would do anything. So me, James and our mates Eric and Joe headed back to
mine for a fun party involving sunglasses, hide and seek, rice krispies, pop tarts and John Dixon. Oh yes. And me and JB are
going out to have fun tomorrow, with Sophie (of Recoil fame) and some others...yeah so I can hopefully get some gallery pics
from there! Anyway. This is too fucking long, and if you wanted an insight on my life you'd go on 'Links' and go on my msn
space...
9th November - Well. Today we had a crappy practice, because
JB wasn't around, so we were all confused. Although, me and James started writing a song, called Apocalyptal, which is more
melodic (well, the rhythm bit is) and less grunge. But we need JB! Neeeeed him!
4th November - Dead By Sunrise had a very productive practice
yesterday, and it made me happy. We have also been reviewed by Miss Sophie Wilkie, for our school shout, as the band of the
month, in the 'School of Rock' review!
